Please wait for the ScanCheck 3n to restart (approx. 6 minutes). The device can restart in
the middle of the update procedure and resume the update. Once the update is complete, a
restart also takes place and the device then enters normal operating mode again.
5. Recalibrate the ScanCheck 3 device for 6 mil and 20 mil.

3.7.2 Updating the device from the USB stick with text console

Perform step 1 and step 2 as described in 3.7.1
3. Start text console

<ON> button

Button<4> (terminate GUI)

Set the cursor to OK and confirm with the <OK ENTER> button

 The device now displays a black screen with white text.

3.7.3 Updating the device with the Service Tool

Switch on the ScanCheck 3 device.
Close sleep mode / low power mode in the Scancheck 3n


Deactivate the menu item "sleep/shutdown automatically"

Confirm with the <OK ENTER> button
2. Connect the ScanCheck 3n with the PC.
From the CD or download area: In Setup.exe, go to "Current Verifiers", then "SC3 Update".

Now press the "SC 3 Update" button. The "ServiceTool" program is now started. The correct file for
the update has already been selected:
