Intended use
This product is designed to provide visual representation of electrical quantities and signals.
It is a two channel oscilloscope and one channel generator. The measured signals can be
displayed on the LCD display or on a PC via USB cable.
The maximum input quantities indicated on the device must never be exceeded.
These safety instructions are primarily intended to explain safety measures in order to make
working with the device as safe as possible. The individual device functions are explained in
more detail in the help menu of the oscilloscope or in the operating instructions.
Always observe the safety instructions and the help menus!
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture
(e.g. in a bathroom) must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, do not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product
for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper
use can cause hazards such as a short circuit, fire or electric shock. Read the operating instruc-
tions carefully and store them in a safe place. Only make this product available to third parties
together with its operating instructions.

Description of symbols

All metal parts that could carry a voltage in the event of a fault during operation or
maintenance must be connected to the protective earth conductor.

Safety information
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety information and information on
proper handling in these operating instructions, we will assume no liability for
any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate
the warranty/guarantee.
a) General information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dange-
rous plaything for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong vibrations,
high humidity, moisture, combustible gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorised use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in adverse ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Handle the product with care. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may
damage the product.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if
you have concerns about safety.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs may only be carried out by a technician or
a specialist repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
b) Connected devices
• Always observe the safety information and operating instructions of any other de-
vices which are connected to the product.
c) Li-Ion Battery
• Never damage the rechargeable battery. Damaging the casing of the rechargeab-
le battery might cause an explosion or a fire!
• Never short-circuit the contacts of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw the bat-
tery or the product into fire. There is a danger of fire and explosion!
• Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even if you do are not using the pro-
duct. Due to the rechargeable battery technology being used, you do not need to
discharge the rechargeable battery first.
• Never charge the rechargeable battery of the product unattended.
• When charging, place the product on a surface that is not heat-sensitive. It is
normal that a certain amount of heat is generated during charging.
d) Persons and product
• Do not disassemble the product. This may cause a fatal electric shock!
• Store the oscilloscope in a well-ventilated place. Make sure that the instrument is
properly ventilated. Refer to the operating instructions for details.
• Do not work in areas where there is a danger of explosion.
• Keep all surfaces of the product clean and dry.
• Do not use the device in rooms or unfavourable ambient conditions in which there
are or could be combustible gases, vapours or dust.
e) Fuse replacement
• Switch off the product before replacing the fuse.
• Disconnect any connected measuring leads and the power cord from the product
before replacing the fuse.
• Make sure that only fuses of the type stated and rated current specified are used
as a replacement. Do not use incorrect or repaired fuses and do not bypass the
fuse holder - this could lead to a fire.
f) Measuring mode
• Ensure that the probes are connected in the correct polarity. Do not connect the
negative measuring lead to the positive pole.
• Connect the measuring cables to the oscilloscope before connecting the probes
to the signal measuring circuit. After finishing the measurements, disconnect the
measurement probes from the measuring circuit before before disconnecting them
from the oscilloscope.
• Avoid exposed electric circuits. Do not touch any exposed connections or compo-
nents when the instrument is supplied with power.
• Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of strong magnetic or electroma-
gnetic fields, transmitter aerials or HF generators. These may distort the measu-
rements.
• Only use measurement cables and accessories that match the specifications of
the oscilloscope.
• Only use insulated measurement probes and measurement leads.
• Before use, inspect the accessory and replace it if it is damaged.
