After having finished all teeth cut on one side, change
the cutting angle to the symmetric value (+/- 30o – cf.
adjustments) and start sharpening all teeth that cut on the
other side.
Before lowering the disk for sharpening the tooth, make
sure that the pawl positions the link of the chain accurately
such that the disk attacks the cutting edge correctly.
In the moment when the disk lowers the lever mechanism,
it presses the rail such that the chain link becomes safely
fastened.
Proceed to sharpening by making the disk descend
several times and delicately onto the link. Do not do it by
one single descent as this might overheat and damage
the temper of the cutting steel making it fragile and thus
spoiling the chain.
MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
4.
Disk exchange
Disconnect the power plug. Remove the lid that covers the
disk by removing the three screws. Remove the threaded
washer with one hand while immobilizing the disk with
the other one. Remove the old disk and place the new
one making sure that it fits perfectly on the projection
of the spindle. Secure the disk by strongly tightening
the threaded washer with one hand while immobilizing
the disk with your other one. Put the guard by fixing its
three screws. Before starting to sharpen, check that the
disk does not vibrate or oscillate making it turn without
working.

Maintenance

Clean with a dry cloth and lubricate movable parts with
light oil (3 IN 1, WD-40, etc.). Regarding any activity not
explained here, address our technical service.

Repair service

The technical service will advise you in respect of any
questions you may have on repair and maintenance of
your product and on spare parts.
You may also obtain detail drawings and information in
respect of spare parts over the internet under:

Our team of technical advisors will be pleased to advise
regarding the acquisition, application and adjustment of
the products and accessories.

Noise/Vibration Information

Noise emission values determined according to EN
62841-1.
Wear hearing protection.
Total vibration values ah (triax vector sum) and uncertainty
K determined according to EN 62841-1.
The vibration emission level given in this information sheet
has been measured in accordance with a standardised test
given in EN 62841-1 and may be used to compare one tool
with another. lt may be used for a preliminaryassessment
of exposure.
ENGLISH

The declared vibration emission level represents the
main applications of the tool. However if the tool is used
for different applications, with different accessories or
poorly maintained, the vibration emission may differ. This
may significantly increase the exposure leveloverthe
totalworking period.
An estimation of the levelof exposure to vibration
should also take into account the times when the tool
is switchedMaintenance and service instructions off or
when it is running but not actually doing the job. This may
significantly reduce theexposure leveloverthetotal working
period.
ldentify additional safety measures to protect the operator
from the effects of vibration such as: maintain the tool and
the accessories,keepthe hands warm,organisationof work
pattems.

REGULATORY MARKING

5.
WARNING: The grinding wheel must support a rotation
speed of 50 m/s.
** Short-time operation: Do not make the apparatus
work continuously for more than 15 minutes.
The vibration emission index as stated has been measured
according to a standardized process, and it may be used
to compare electrical tools with each other.
The vibration emission index as stated may also be used
to estimate exposition in advance.
NOTICE: The vibration emission index as stated may
differ from the described on when that electric tool
is effectively used and depending on how it is being
used.
It is necessary to determine safety measures to protect
users, based on an estimation of the exposition during
real use conditions. For this purpose, they must take
into account all phases of the operating cycle as the
time during which the electrical toll is disconnected
and the time during which it is connected but without
working.
The values of noise and vibration were detected in
compliance with regulations and provisions as stated
in the Declaration of Conformity.
