PREPARATION AND CHECKS
BEFORE USE
To carry out this series of
checks, place the machine

with the isolator key [1]
and the battery pack
removed from the
machine.
ASSEMBLY OF THE HANDLE
1. Turn the folding/handle adjustment knobs [1] a quarter turn to
unlocked position [2].
2. Unfold the handle so that the folding knob axes line up with the
top, intermediate or bottom holes [3], depending on the handle
height required.
3. Put the knobs back to locked position [4].
4. Ensure that the clamping rings for the cables on the handle are
positioned correctly.

ASSEMBLY OF THE GRASS CATCHER
Insert the frame [1] into the grass catcher fabric [2] and fit the plastic
edges [3] to the frame.
CHECKING THE GRASS CATCHER
Before use, ensure that the grass catcher closing device is
correctly closed (discharge cover).
Even in normal use, the grass catcher tends to wear. Regularly
check that it is not frayed or torn. A worn out grass catcher
must be replaced. Replace a damaged grass catcher with
Honda Genuine parts
Grass catcher removal:
1. Raise discharge cover [1], grasp handle [2] and remove grass
[3]
catcher [3] while keeping it in an upright position.
Grass catcher fitting:
1. Raise the discharge cover and hook the front of the grass
[1]
catcher on the machine's attachment lugs [4].
NOTE:
• The machine operates like a vacuum cleaner; it blows air into the
grass catcher sucking up the grass cuttings. Empty the grass
catcher before it is full to help emptying and minimizing the
dropping of grass cuttings. Bagging performance will diminish
after the grass catcher becomes about 90% full.
• Mulching is a natural fertilisation technique. The grass is no longer
collected in the grass catcher, but is finely ground and deposited on
the lawn. The grass cuttings chopped up in this way decompose in
the sun and form a natural humus which can produce a quarter of the
annual fertilisation requirement of your lawn.
• In addition to its fertilising role, mulching protects the ground,
limits evaporation of water during hot periods and relieves you of
the task of collecting the grass.
PREPARATION OF THE BATTERY PACK
A charged battery pack must be installed to the machine for
operation. Please refer to the
pack.
