    INSTALLATION Place the charging base on a flat surface against a wall Against the wall Not against the wall Ensure that there is more than 1.2 meters clear space in front and more than 0.5 meters clear space on both sides of the charging base.

    Install App Download the “Kogan SmarterHome” app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). Register If you do not have a Kogan SmarterHome™ account, register or sign in with a verification code sent by SMS. To register: Tap to enter registration page.
  • Page 14 Set device in pairing mode When the device is first turned on, it may automatically enter pairing mode (the power button indicator may be flashing slowly). If not automatically in pairing mode when powered on, you can manually set the device in pairing mode by pressing and holding the Partial Cleaning and Charging buttons until the power button indicator flashes slowly.
  • Page 15 Select “AP Mode” for the set-up type. Ensure that the device is in pairing mode, with the light flashing, and tap “Confirm light is slowly flashing”. Enter your Wi-Fi details. It is important that your SmarterHome™ device and the app are connected to the same Wi-Fi network during setup.

    From the home page of the Google Home app, select the “+” icon to access the ‘Add and manage’ page. Select ‘Set up device’, then under the Works with Google banner, select ‘Have something already set up?’ Select the search bar and type ‘Smarter Home’ to locate the Kogan SmarterHome™ service.
  • Page 20 Tap ‘Authorise’ to grant Google permission to access the SmarterHome™ app and your devices. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used to register your account.

    OPERATION Power on/off • Long press the power button to switch the unit on. The indicator on the power button turns on slowly and the vacuum enters the standby state. • When the machine is stationary, long press the power button to switch the unit off. The white light slowly turns off and the vacuum will power off.
  • Page 26 Mopping Switch to the water tank assembly for mopping. Notes: • Do not use the mopping function when nobody is home. • If some rooms in your home are carpeted, set these as restricted areas using the app. 1. Moisten the mop pad and attach it to the underside of the water tank. 2.

Short press the power button or start mopping using the app. Note: When charging or not using the vacuum, remove the water tank. Pour out any remaining water and clean the mop to avoid mildew or odours developing.
  • Page 28 Cleaning mode After cleaning starts, the machine will scan the room, generate a map, and zone the room intelligently. During zone cleaning, it will firstly clean along the wall, plan the sweeping path and then clean each zone one by one in a zig-zag pattern, covering all zones in an efficient manner.

  • Page 30 Sleep mode If there is no user input for more than 20 minutes, the vacuum will enter sleep mode automatically. In sleep mode, after the breathing light dims, the machine can be activated by pressing any button. Note: The machine will not enter sleep mode when charging on the charging base. When entering low battery during sleep mode, the machine will automatically shut down.

    CLEANING & CARE Main brush (weekly cleaning recommended) Turn over the machine, press down the fastener and remove the main brush cover. Take the main brush out and clean the main brush bearing. Cut any tangled hair from the main brush with the cleaning tool as shown on the next page.

Note: It is recommended to replace the side brushes every 3-6 months to ensure optimal cleaning. Battery The vacuum has a built-in high-performance rechargeable lithium battery pack. To maintain optimal battery performance, keep the machine in the charging dock for daily use.
