    - The motor, the torque and the operating time must be adjusted according to the complete installation. - Only Somfy original accessories should be used (adapters, brackets, connectors, power cable, etc.). - Fitting, testing, commissioning and repair of the installation must only be carried out by qualified personnel.

    5. COMMISSIOnIng The guide only describes commissioning using a Telis MOD/VAR type Somfy local control point. For commissioning using any other Somfy local control point, refer to the corresponding guide. 5.1. Identifying setting steps already completed Only one motor should be powered at a time.

    • Press the Up button to check the direction of rotation. 5.4. Selecting the type of E.V.b. (type 1 or type 3) • The J4 RTS motor is factory set to operate with a type 1 E.V.B.. However, the user can select the operating mode for either a type 1 or type 3 E.V.B..

    5.5. Setting the end limits Check that your J4 RTS actuator has been assembled in the blind in the lowered position with the slats closed. 5.5.1. End limit (automatic adjustment) • Briefly press the PROG button on the pre-programmed control: the E.V.B. moves briefly, the control point is programmed.

    • On a standard Telis type local control, 2 modes are available: EU mode and US mode. The J4 RTS motor is factory set to operate in US mode In US mode, briefly pressing the Up or Down button raises or lowers the E.V.B.
