• Do not install on carpet. Install washer on a solid fl oor.

• The washer should always be plugged into its own
individual electrical outlet which has a voltage rating
that matches the rating plate. This provides the best
performance and also prevents overloading house wiring
circuits which could cause a fi re hazard from overheated
wires.
• If installing the pedestal washer with a Kenmore
front-loading washer and a Kenmore gas dryer, and
insuffi cient outlets are available, an extension cord rated
at no less than the branch circuit may be used.
• Never unplug your washer by pulling on the power cord.
Always grip plug fi rmly and pull straight out from the
outlet. Failure to follow this warning can cause serious
injury, fi re, electric shock, or death.
• Repair or immediately replace all power cords that have
become frayed or otherwise damaged. Do not use a
cord that shows cracks or abrasion damage along its

• When installing or moving the washer, be careful not
to pinch, crush, or damage the power cord. Failure to

• The washer must be installed and electrically grounded

• The washer is heavy. Two or more people may be

manufactured after 2009.
• The pedestal washer is not designed to operate as a
standalone unit, under a top-loading washer, or under a
dryer. Do not tamper with the stacking switch. Doing so
may cause machine malfunctions or serious injury.
• Do not operate the pedestal washer with two or more
pedestal washers stacked. Doing so may cause machine
malfunctions or serious injury.
• For your safety, the information in this manual must
be followed to minimize the risk of fi re, explosion, or
electric shock, or to prevent property damage, injury
to persons, or death.
