Important and Useful Information to Know Before Using the Vehicle
What to do after an accident
Always have your vehicle inspected by
an Mazda Repairer if the vehicle has
been involved in an accident:
If the vehicle has been involved in an
accident, and even if the air bags did
not deploy in the accident, the air
bag-related parts might be damaged
by the impact to the vehicle in the
accident, and the air bags may not
deploy normally, which could result in
serious injury or death. If seat belts
with the pretensioner system and seat
belts with the load-limiter system that
have operated (deployed) are used
under such a condition, they cannot
function at their full capacity which
could result in serious injury or death.
Vehicle maintenance and scrapping
When replacing the tyres, replace
them with ones of the specified type
and size:
If tyres other than the specified type
and size are installed, vehicle systems
will not operate normally due to the
driving stability being adversely
affected, which could lead to an
accident.
Adjust the tyre pressures to the
specified value and do not use tyres
with worn tyre grooves:
If the vehicle is driven with tyres that
are not at the specified air pressure or
with worn tyre grooves, vehicle systems
will not operate normally which could
cause an accident.
Always consult an Mazda Repairer
when scrapping the vehicle:
The air bag and pretensioner system
mechanisms may operate (deploy)
unexpectedly, which could result in
serious injury or death.
CAUTION
Use of Mazda genuine floor
coverings is recommended.
Use the floor coverings made for the
vehicle and do not use an over-sized
floor covering.
Always heed the following
precautions when using floor
coverings.
Do not use floor coverings stacked
on top of each other.
Use only floor coverings secured
firmly with hooks on the floor
carpet.
Otherwise, the floor covering may
slide or a pedal may get caught on
the floor covering and the pedal
operation could be obstructed
leading to an accident.
