Important and Useful Information to Know Before Using the Vehicle
Because the brake pads become wet
after driving through water puddles
or washing the vehicle, the brake
performance could be adversely
affected or only the side where the
brakes did not get wet will be
applied, resulting in loss of steering
wheel control. If the brakes do not
operate normally, release the
accelerator pedal and lightly apply
the brakes several times while driving
the vehicle to dry the brakes until
they return to normal.
Be very careful not to damage the
vehicle's undercarriage, such as the
bumpers, when driving under the
following conditions:
Parking in a parking space with
speed bumps
Parking on the shoulder of a road
Crossing over differences in road
level such as at the shoulder of a
road
Entering/exiting a steep slope such
as at the entrance/exit of a parking
lot
Driving on bumpy or rutted roads
Always start the EV system even
when slightly moving the vehicle. If
the vehicle moves on a downslope
by the inclination, the steering wheel
could lock or the brakes may not
operate normally, resulting in an
accident.
If the steering wheel is kept turned
completely to the left or right for
long periods, it could damage the
power steering equipment.
Apply the parking brake, switch the
power switch OFF, and lock all the
doors before leaving the vehicle. In
addition, to prevent theft of
valuables, do not leave them inside
the cabin.
