Cable Routing
Depending on equipment configuration, a variety of types of cables are connected to the MU and RU:
coaxial cables, optical fibers, power cable, communication cable, and commissioning cable. Where
applicable, ensure cables are properly routed and secured so that they are not damaged.
Manual Handling
During transportation and installation, take necessary handling precautions to avoid potential physical
injury to the installation personnel and the equipment.
3.2.1 REPEATER INSTALLATION CHECKLIST
Installation Location Requirement
Working Space available
There are a number of power supply options
for MU:
Earth point
EMC and interference
VSWR check
Suitable operating environment
Locate BTS signal derived at the coupler.
Confirm optical wavelength
Confirm optical fiber availability
Optical fiber handling
Confirm RF cable availability

ENU Status : 1-0-1
INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR RA-7800
Considerations
Ample space on 19" rack and mounting pole/wall
surface for unrestricted airflow and cable routing.
AC Mains
-48VDC
Earthing point/Safety ground within 2m.
Do not locate near large transformers or motors that
may cause electromagnetic interference. Install
blanking off plates on the MU.
For the antennas, VSWR value to be < 1.5
-20°to +40°C for MU and -33°to +55°C for RU.
Maximum 95% relative humidity.
Typical RF input signal from BTS is from -15dBm to
5dBm, select the correct coupler at the BTS site and
to tune the ATT for optimal RF performance.
For fiber sharing or single fiber working
FC/APC connector < 20km between MU and RU.
With fiber path loss observed.
Maintain the minimum bending radius (> 30 mm)
For connection to BTS and to remote antenna.

Power cord length is about 3m. Use a
dedicated AC breaker or fuse circuit, and
with good access to an earthing point.
AC 220: 220 ~240V
AC 110: 80 ~ 135V
Power cord length is 3m with CSA of
2
2.5mm
Range: -36VDC to -72VDC.
The DC operating current should be
>10A.
