Ensure that the screws inside the latches are not secured to the rack. Remove the hook-and-loop fasteners that secure the cable management arms.

If you have one NVMe U.2 pass-thru card, it is installed in slot P1-C49 and a filler is in slot P1-C50. The NVMe cable connects from port (J1) on the NVMe drive backplane to port (J1) on the NVMe U.2 pass-thru card.

To install or replace the NVMe U.2 pass-thru card, complete the following steps: a) Route the NVMe cable into position while you lower the NVMe U.2 pass-thru card into its slot. b) Push the NVMe U.2 pass-thru card down to seat the card.

Press the connector latch and unplug the NVMe cable that is connected to the NVMe drive backplane. Leave the other end of the cable connected to the NVMe U.2 pass-thru card until directed to unplug it.
