9.2 Use of the Fluid Warmer

Use of the Fluid Warmer requires that the steps in "9.1 Set Up for Use"
on page 28 have been completed.
A–Pressurize the 1-Liter (1L) Pressure Chambers
• For high pressure irrigating use only. Pressure chamber not for
I.V. use.
• Do not exceed pressure specified for the Disposable Set in use.
1 Adjust the Pressure Regulator Knob ( a ) on the Pressure Gauge
Box to set desired level on Dial Gauge ( b ). The maximum
pressure is approximately 500 mmHg.
2 Push Pressure Chamber Toggle Switch ( c ) to the plus (+)
pressurized position. Observe Pressure Gauge ( d ) to make sure
that required pressure is achieved.
Note: A pressure relief valve automatically activates if pressure goes
above 550 mmHg.
B–Prepare the 3-Liter (3L) Pressure Cuff Accessory for Use
The 3L Pressure Cuff accessory should not be pressurized above
300 mmHg. Pressure greater than 300 mmHg may compromise
the integrity of some Disposable Sets or the cuff itself.
1 Make sure the H-1129 Fluid Warmer is set up for operation.
2 Slide the 3L fluid bag into the 3L Pressure Cuff, and hang them from
the fluid bag hanger on the automatic pole.
3 Make sure the Adapter Assembly's valve handle is in the
OFF/VENT position ( b ).
4 Spike the 3L fluid bag.
5 Turn ON the Fluid Warmer, and adjust the Pressure Regulator
Knob (a) (on the Pressure Gauge Box) to the desired pressure (not
to exceed 300 mmHg).
