Self-Diagnosis Memory Function
This function is to display the diagnosed failure modes stored in the non-volatile memory of the indoor unit by remote controller
operation.
This is effective to check the failure mode in the case where the power was turned off or operation was restarted without
checking the lamp blinking frequency. (The past 5 failure modes are stored in the memory.)
Failure modes with low occurrence frequency, which are too minor to be indicated on the indoor unit, are also stored in the
memory. This helps service personnel detect failure symptoms that cannot be checked during visit by clearing the memory and
then checking the memory contents on a later day.
<How to redisplay the diagnosed failure modes >
1. Set the power switch on the main unit to "OFF".
2. Set the remote controller display to the stop mode.
3. Set the operation mode to "cooling" with the "Function Selector"
button on the remote controller.
4. Set the power switch on the main unit to "ON".
5. Set the temperature on the remote controller to "32°C".
6. Set the fan speed according to the failure information to be
displayed. (Refer to the table on the right for fan speed setting for
failure data.)
7. Press the "START/STOP" button while pressing the "Temperature
( )" button.
(Remote controller transmits the signal.)
8. Failure mode is redisplayed after a short beep is heard from the
main unit.
<How to clear failure diagnosis data>
1. Perform the redisplay of the diagnosed failure mode. (Refer to the above procedures.)
2. Set the power switch on the main unit to "OFF".
3. Set the operation mode to "warming" with the "Function Selector" button on the remote controller.
4. Set the power switch on the main unit to "ON".
5. Set the temperature on the remote controller to "16°C".
6. Press the "START/STOP" button while pressing the "Temperature ( )" button.
(Remote controller transmits the signal.)
7. Failure mode is redisplayed after a long beep for 1 second is heard from the main unit
Notes
• This function is effective only once immediately after the power is turned on. If the remote controller is operated for another
function, this function does not work.
In addition, note that this function may not work if procedures other than the above are performed.
(If this function does not work, turn off the power and retry it.)
• If nothing is in the memory, the lamp does not blink even if the redisplay operation is performed.
• After the redisplay operation or clearing of data, the remote controller operation is not received by air conditioner.
Turn off the power before performing ordinary operation.
