When a unit equipped with an O-N switch is to be connected,
please also see the instruction manual of this unit.
Set the O-N switch to "N". "N"-operation will be set.
When a unit that is not equipped with an O-N switch, or the
changer switching unit "KCA-S200" is connected, "O"-
operation will be set.
NOTE
The CD text, Presetting Disc Names, and Disc Name Preset Play
functions may not be operational depending on the unit.

Playing CDs

Play:
Press the CD OPEN/CLOSE button to slide open the front
panel, showing the CD (insertion) slot. Holding the CD with the
labeled side facing up, insert it in the slot. The control panel will
be shown, and the CD will start playing.
The
indicator will light when a CD has been inserted.
Playing CDs Already Inserted:
Press the SRC button repeatedly to select the CD mode.
"CD" is displayed when the CD mode has been selected.
The CD will start playing.
Pausing and Restarting CD Play:
Press the 38 button to make the disc pause.
Press the same button again to start play again.
Eject:
Press the CD OPEN/CLOSE
button. The front panel will
slide to eject the CD.
Press the CD OPEN/CLOSE
button to show the control
panel.
NOTE
When the CD cannot be ejected even if you press the CD
OPEN/CLOSE button, press this button for at least three seconds
to eject the CD.
2CAUTION
• Do not attempt to insert a CD into the slot if another one is
already there.
• The eject function will operate even if the CD OPEN/CLOSE
button is pressed while no CD is loaded. Attempting to quickly
insert a CD at this time may result in scratching the CD. Wait a
short time before inserting a CD.
• When the front panel has been slid, it might interfere with the
shift lever or something else. If this happens, pay attention to
safety and move the shift lever or take an appropriate action,
then operate the unit.
• Do not apply excessive force to the front panel after it slides.
• Do not use the unit with the front panel in the slid condition.
Doing so will cause breakdown.
NOTE
When you load a CD and eject it right away, the next time you try
to insert the CD may not load. In such a situation, take the CD out
for a moment and then reinsert it.
