This manual and any other instructional material must be available to the user of the equipment. The user must understand how to safely and effectively use the FS805-KM, and all fall protection equipment used in conjunction with the FS805-KM. The SAFEWAZE™ FS805-KM has been designed for your safety. -

Product Specific Applications Personal Fall Arrest: SAFEWAZE™ FS805-KM Horizontal Lifelines can be used as part of a complete Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) for a maximum of 2 users. The structure utilized for attachment must be capable of withstanding a load of 5,000 lbs in all directions permitted by the system. -

(see Figure 3). Connectors must be compatible in size, shape, and strength. Self-locking snap hooks and carabiners are required by ANSI Z359 and OSHA guidelines. Contact SAFEWAZE™ if you have any questions about compatibility. NOTE: SOME SPECIALITY CONNECTORS HAVE ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS. -

Ensure all connectors are fully closed and locked. SAFEWAZE™ connectors (snap hooks and carabiners) are designed to be used only as specified in each product’s user’s instructions. FS805-KM Horizontal Lifeline. Attach the Dual Leg Retractable directly to the dorsal D-Ring of the full body harness. Attach one leg of the Dual Leg Retractable to the O-ring on the rope of the SAFEWAZE™ FS805-KM Horizontal Lifeline, and the unused leg to an approved lanyard storage keeper on the harness. -

The user must read and understand these User Instructions, as well as the User Instructions for every component/subsystem of the personal fall arrest system. The entire SAFEWAZE™ FS805-KM Horizontal Lifeline system, and its subsystems, must be inspected prior to each use for wear, damage, and other deterioration.
