6.2. General maintenance

You can always contact your dealer for urgent repairs to the e-bike.
To keep your bike in optimal condition, it has to be checked regularly by
your dealer. Preventive maintenance avoids possibly larger repairs later.
Because the amount of maintenance depends on how intensively the
bike is used, you must agree with your dealer on a suitable maintenance
program. The below maintenance program is an advice from QWIC
under normal use. Service frequency:
1st turn; 2 months / <500km
2nd turn; 6 months (Small service) (or every 1000km)
3rd turn; 12 months (Major service) (or every 2000km)
Then every six months 1 small service, 1 major service until the end of
use.
With every minor service (annually) and on delivery;
>> The working of the brakes, gear and lighting must be
checked and / or adjusted
>> All bolts and nuts are checked to prevent vibration loosening.
Any stainless steel / aluminum parts is protected with vasaline spray.
>> The gear and possibly brake cables and chain must be
inspected for tension and adjustment.
>> The tires are brought to the correct pressure and profile
checked. The spokes in the wheels are put back on the right position and
it has to be checked any possible dents on the wheel.
6. TAKE CARE OF YOUR E-BIKE
>> Play on the steering, bottom bracket and wheel bearings is checked
and adjusted.
