8.5.2 Battery Replacement Cycle
Replace the battery every five years

(Note) Availability factor 95%.
Remark
 The battery may be replaced in either the powered or unpowered status. Note that in the
unpowered status, you must complete the replacement within 3 min. If the equipment is left for
a long time with the battery removed, time and RAS memory information will be cleared.
 There is no compatibility with manganese dry or alkaline batteries in terms of voltage. They
must not be used as substitutes.
 Do not use any battery that has elapsed for 3 years or more since the date of manufacture.
8.5.3 Disposing of the Battery
When disposing of the battery, comply with the regulations of the local government.
Any attempt to disassemble or throw the battery into fire can cause an explosion, which
is very dangerous.
Dispose of the battery as it is, without disassembling or throwing it into fire.
A short circuit between the positive (+) and negative (-) electrodes of the lithium battery
may generate smoke or cause fire.
(Note).
Do not connect the battery other way round, charge
it, disassemble it, overheat it, throw it into a fire and
short-circuit it.
Otherwise, it may cause explosion or generate a fire.
Replace the battery every 5 years.
The time and RAS memory information saved in CPU
module will be lost by the weak battery and may cause
an accident and damage on the machine due to
malfunction.
