VIII. Freewheel Lever
1. Turn off power to the joystick.

2. Ensure the unit is in drive mode.
3. Prop up the side of the unit being serviced.
Tools Required:
- Imperial and Metric Socket Set
- Calibrated Torque Spanner/Wrench
- Imperial and Metric Hex Key Set
- Phillips Screwdriver
4. Remove the front electronics door and the top shroud. See Section I.
5. Remove the drive wheel. See Section III. ***The Axle Key may shift out of place on the motor shaft. Make sure the
Axle Key is retained.***.
6. To ease removal of the freewheel lever assembly, remove the motor/front castor arm assembly. See Section VII.
7. Remove the 2 screws that secure the freewheel lever extension to the brake.
8. Remove the hardware that secures the freewheel lever extension and the lower clamshell to the motor.
9. Attach the replacement freewheel lever extension to the brake.
10. Secure the freewheel extension and the lower clamshell to the motor.
11. Reverse steps 4 to 6 to complete installation. Torque the suspension pivot bolt to 25 N • m (18.4 ft • lb).
Torque the drive wheel main nut to 28.5 N • m (21 ft • lb).
