4. Unplug connector 8a from connector 9d. See diagram 3.
5. Measure resistance across pin 1 and pin 2 of connector 8a.
See figure 20.
— If the multimeter does not indicate about 0.5-1.5 ohms,
then replace the left motor (7) and retest the system.
— If the multimeter indicates about 0.5-1.5 ohms, then
replace the power module (9) and retest the system.

Motor/Brake Error

Symptoms:
The batteries are fully charged.
All electrical components are connected correctly.
The power turns on but displays "Motor/Brake" error
code. See figure 21.
Diagnosis:
There is a brake open.
Solution:
Use the following procedure to clear the error code:
1. Ensure that both freewheel levers are in drive mode.
Refer to the freewheel operation label located on the
power base.
2. Remove the front shroud. See figure 4.
3. Unplug connector 7a from connector 9b. See diagram 3.
4. Measure resistance across pin 3 and pin 4 of connector
7a. See figure 22.
— If the multimeter indicates about 35 ohms, then go to the
next step.
— If the multimeter does not indicate about 35 ohms, then
replace the right motor/brake assembly and retest the
system.
5. Unplug connector 8a from connector 9d. See diagram 3.
6. Measure resistance across pin 3 and pin 4 of connector
8a. See figure 23.
— If the multimeter indicates about 35 ohms, then replace
the power module (9) and retest the system.
— If the multimeter does not indicate about 35 ohms, then
replace the right motor/brake assembly and retest the
system.
