When a DVD disc contains recording of subtitles in multiple languages, the languages can be switched during playback.

Press the SUB TITLE key during playback.
The language selected in the initial setup is used immediately
after turning power on or replacing disc. If the initially set
language does not exist in the disc, the priority language defined
for each disc is used.
Select the subtitle language with the joystick
(A, V).

Press the SUB TITLE key or ENTER key to switch the
display off.

► If the desired language cannot be displayed by operating the joystick
repeatedly, the desired language may not be recorded in the current
disc.
Switching the subtitle on and off
The subtitle display can be switched on and off with the joystick (<,
o|
