NOTE: Do not rely solely on MSA as an absolute
measure of safe altitude. Consult current charts
and NOTAMs for your area.
To change the user-selectable data fields:
1.
Press MENU to display the Position page
options menu.
Turn the large right knob to highlight

"Change Fields?" and press ENT.
Turn the large right knob to highlight the

data field you wish to change.
Turn the small right knob to display the list
4.
of available data items. Continue turning the
small right knob to select the desired data
item from the list.
5.
Press ENT to select the desired data item and
return to the position page.
6.
Press the small right knob momentarily to
remove the cursor from the page.
The position page also features a reference
waypoint field, located at the bottom of the page, to
indicate your bearing and distance to/from a selected
waypoint. The reference waypoint field can display
bearing and distance information for a nearby airport
(default), VOR, NDB, intersection or user waypoint.
To change the reference waypoint information:
Press MENU to display the position page

options menu.
2.
Turn the large right knob to highlight
"Change Fields?" and press ENT.
Turn the large right knob to highlight the

waypoint type field (bottom left corner of the
page; default setting will show "APT").
Turn the small right knob to display the list of
4.
available waypoint types. Continue turning the
small right knob to select the desired data
item from the list.
5.
Press ENT to select the desired type and return
to the position page.
6.
To select between "bearing FROM" or "bearing
TO" to the reference waypoint, turn the small
right knob to select the desired bearing refer-
ence and press ENT.
