Introduction Thank you for purchasing the Mini Infrared Thermometer Model SK-8700II. The SK-8700II is conforming to the Assessment for the Japanese Consumer Law on laser equipment and carries “PSC” mark. This product is designed to measure temperature using a non-contact method. Auto Hold function: A measured value of temperature is automatically held (fixed) for approximately five seconds. Lens cap : Prevents dust or foreign matter from entering the measurement window (infrared radiation sensing section). Note: If the area of the object is much larger than the spot size, the accuracy of measurement is affected. Also, if the area of the object is much smaller than the spot size, the accuracy of measurement may be affected by inclusion of a part that is not supposed to be measured. If the measuring distance is less than 120 mm, the accuracy of measurement is affected.
Maintenance The accuracy of measurement is affected by dust or dirt on the surface of the infrared lens. Prevent dirt or dust from adhering to the surface of the lens during use or storage. When removing dirt from the infrared lens, use a blower for camera lenses.
