Wavelength
Optical input power
IM 703753-01E
Minimum channel spacing
Definition
The minimum spacing between wavelengths that is required to separate
and extract light of different wavelengths.
Description For example, if light containing waveforms whose wavelength spacing is
less than the minimum channel spacing, the two waveforms may be
detected as one waveform. The spacing varies depending on the specified
computation bandwidth.
Relative wavelength deviation
Wavelength accuracy
0
Measurement accuracy
Definition
Absolute accuracy in wavelength measurement.
Readout resolution
Definition
The minimum change in the measured amount that can be read.
Readout resolution
Definition
The minimum change in the measured amount that can be read.
Range switching
Definition
Range is defined by the minimum and maximum values of the input
capacity or output capacity. This means that there are multiple ranges
available and that they can be switched.
Description There are four available ranges on the FB200C/FB200L: –5 dBm, –15
dBm, –25 dBm, and –35 dBm. You can switch the range by sending the
RNG_nnn command.
Computation bandwidth
The total width of the wavelengths used in the center wavelength computation.
L[pm]
Relative wavelength error
Measured wavelength
Compute the center wavelength from
the wavelength power data within L [pm]
