Commissioning

The initial boiler start-up must be car-
ried out by the Riello Technical Assis-
tance Centre, after which the boiler
will be able to operate automatically.
Every time it is powered up, the boiler
performs a sequence of checks, and a
series of numbers and letters will ap-
pear on the display.
After this phase the boiler carries out
an automatic venting cycle lasting 2
minutes (12 minutes for the IS i model),
during this period the two digits on
the display come on alternately.
If the check is terminated correctly, the
boiler will be ready to operate at the
end of the cycle.
It may, however, be necessary to re-
start without involving the Technical
Assistance Centre: for example after a
lengthy period of absence.
In such cases, the following checks
and operations must be carried out:
Make sure the fuel and water taps of
the heating system and the domestic
water system are open.
On the digital display, check that the
pressure of the cold hydraulic circuit
is between 1 bar and 1.5 bar.
Check the operating condition of the
consumption water filtering and/or
treatment appliances.
Set the system's master switch to the
"on" position.
Adjust the ambient thermostat to the
required temperature (~ 20°C) or, if
the system is equipped with a timed
thermostat, make sure it is "active"
and adjusted (~ 20°C).
Move the domestic hot water tem-
perature selector (1) to the desired
position.
Move the heating system water tem-
perature selector (2) to the desired
position.
