PROBLEM
Noisy airlock.
Airlock stalls.
Air loss through airlock.
Breaking rotor blades.
Low air volume.
Overheating.
CAUSE
Tips hitting case.
Airlock jammed.
Blades too tight.
Faulty airlock motor or gearbox.
Tip clearance too large.
Blades too tight.
Slow speed.
Piping blocked.
Worn components.
Inadequate lubrication.
Excessive lubrication.
Coupling misalignment.
SOLUTION
Readjust tips where applicable.
Remove obstruction from airlock by
opening inspection door or
discharge line. Lock out tag out
master panel.
WARNING
Do not work on airlock unless you
lock out tag out master panel.
Loosen bolts. Refer to airlock
maintenance.
Replace motor or gearbox as
required.
Adjust tips to decrease clearance
to 0.006 inches.
Loosen bolts. Refer to airlock
maintenance.
Check for slipping belts. Adjust
belt tension as required.
Check inlet and outlet piping.
Remove obstruction.
Check relief valve. Clean, repair or
replace as required.
Check clearance and replace
defective components. Refer to
Blower Manual.
Check oil level in reservoirs. Add
as required.
Check oil level. Correct as re-
quired.
Check and realign.
