The batteries are spent.

Changing the batteries

Disposal
Batteries/rechargeable batteries should not be dis-
posed of in domestic waste. Always dispose of spent
batteries/rechargeable batteries via an authorised col-
lection site.

Remedy
Change the batteries (see next chapter).
The Vitotrol 100 has a power reserve of 3 min. If you re-
place the batteries within this time, all settings will be
retained. After the power reserve has been exceeded,
carry out a reset (see next chapter).
Note
If the batteries are not changed, the display switches
off.
Central heating and DHW heating are carried out in line
with the settings on the boiler control unit.
Use only alkaline batteries, 1.5 V Mignon alkaline
cells, type LR6/AA that do not contain noxious sub-
stances.
Never use rechargeable batteries.
Replace both batteries every 18 months.
