Adjusting Vertical Travel Limit Devices

6.3.1. Mechanical Limit Switches

The limit switch should be adjusted such that the switch opens and the power unit turns off just
before the lift reaches the desired raised height. The lift will drift up slightly after the power unit
turns off.
To adjust the limit switch:
1. Raise the lift and engage the maintenance device(s). See section 6.1 Maintenance
Devices.
2. Loosen the locking nut on the striker.
3. Thread the striker in or out as needed to achieve the desired raised height. Make small
adjustments and check for the correct raised height in between adjustments.
Threading the striker in will increase the raised height.
Threading the striker out will decrease the raised height.
4. Retighten the locking nut on the striker to prevent the striker from moving during operation.
5. Disengage the maintenance device(s) and check the raised height.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 until lift comes to a stop at the desired height.
