3. Use the small round brush to clean the cartridge chamber (3) and the adjacent holes for the power
regulation pin (3).
4. Clean the seat of the piston guide in the fastening tool (4).
5. Oil the piston guide (outside) and wipe off the piston lightly with a cloth (5).
▶ Make sure that no oil makes its way into the cartridge chamber!
6. Oil the slide rails of cycling grip (6).

▶ After carrying out care and maintenance, check that all protective and safety devices are fitted and that
they function faultlessly.

Troubleshooting
WARNING!
Before you start troubleshooting, make sure there are no cartridges in the fastening tool. If the cartridges
cannot be removed, contact Hilti Service
If the trouble you are experiencing is not listed in this table or you are unable to rectify the problem by
yourself, please contact Hilti Service.

Action to be taken
▶ Remove the cartridge strip and
insert a new strip.
▶ Contact Hilti Service.

the cartridge sleeve remains
jammed, contact Hilti Service.
Do not attempt to forcibly
remove cartridges from the
magazine strip.
▶ Press the fastening tool fully
against the work surface again
and then pull the trigger.
▶ Unload the cartridge strip and
load a new strip.
▶ Screw the magazine tighter.
▶ Cycle the tool and use up the
remaining cartridges.
▶ Contact Hilti Service.
▶ Rack the cycling grip through
one full cycle.
▶ Reduce the driving energy

▶ Use the correct equipment
configuration with compatible
piston and fastener.
▶ Change the piston and the
piston stopper.
▶ Avoid gaps between sheet
metal and profile.
▶ Increase the driving energy or
use higher-energy cartridges.
