 Updating the FRI Firmware

Start up "FRIWriteFirm.exe" under \\My Device\FlashDisk\DIAG\
FRIFirmTool.
Be sure that the following two fi les are in the folder in which
FRIWriteFirm.exe is saved.
▪ FriFirm_FL51J06.bin
▪ FriBoot.bin

* Do not rename FRIWriteFirm.exe.
* Do not turn off the power of the terminal or carry out reset
operation while updating the fi rmware. If by any chance you
did so, carry out fi rmware update again after resetting.
Press the "Enter" key.
Firmware updating starts.
A progress ratio of updating is displayed in the center of the
screen.

Updating will be completed in about 4 minutes.
Updating is completed when the progress ratio reaches 100%.
At this time, the Indicator 2 lights in blue.
Check that the current version and the new version are the
same. Then terminate the program with the [CLR] key.

If any problem:
The screen shown on the left is displayed.
Pressing the "Enter" key returns you to the Menu screen.
If "Scanner Revision : Not match" appears, update the FRI
Firmware.
