Backlight for display
In the case of battery operation, use of the backlight will shorten the operating time of the battery
considerably. Therefore, it is recommended in the case of battery operation that you allow the
backlight to be switched off after a short period of idleness (to switch it back on, press any key or
tap on the display) and that you do not set the brightness to the highest setting.
You can make the necessary settings in the Start menu under "Setting", "System", "Backlight".

Bluetooth range
The Field Xpert is equipped with a Class 2 Bluetooth adapter, which limits the range to 10 meters.
The range can be reduced by interference from other nearby devices transmitting in the 2.4 Ghz
ISM band. Sources of interference may include cordless telephones, wireless networking devices
and also microwave ovens. In certain circumstances, reception interference may cause a Bluetooth
connection to be terminated completely, resulting in a redial into the HART network.
