Particulate matter protection cap:
Attachment: See page 2, figure A4/A5.
Fit the particulate matter protection cap as shown.
To remove:
Hold the particulate matter protection cap by the upper
edges, raise it slightly and then pull it downwards and
remove.
Rotating additional handle:
See page 3, figure A6.
The additional handle (A1-2) can be adjusted 5 times for
different working positions. To do this, open the grip piece
until the additional handle can be moved, turn it to the
desired position and then tighten the grip again.
Extendable polycarbonate protective cover:
See page 3, figure A7.
To pull the polycarbonate protective cover (A1-8)
outwards or inwards, unscrew both locking screws (A1-3),
push the polycarbonate protective cover into the desired
position and then tighten the locking screw again.
Note: The extendible polycarbonate protective
cover (A1-8) serves as an additional cover for
grinding roller widths up to 150 mm.

Particulate matter protection cap:
Always fit the particulate matter protection cap
(B1-2) if the surroundings are heavily polluted.

Fit the particulate matter protection cap (B1-2) as shown.
To remove: See page 4, figure B5.
Hold the particulate matter protection cap (B1-2) by the
upper edges, raise it slightly and then pull it downwards
and remove.
Tip: Take a tool such as e.g. a screwdriver to help.
Rotating battery pack:
See page 5, figure B8.
The rear section of the machine can be rotated 270°
in 3 stages, thus allowing the machine's shape to be
adapted to the working conditions. Only operate the
machine when it is in an engaged position.

Battery pack:
Charge the battery pack (B1-3) before use.
Recharge the battery pack if performance diminishes.
The ideal storage temperature is between 10°C and
30°C.
"Li-Power, LiHD" lithium ion battery packs have a capacity
and signal indicator (B2-2):
- Press the button (B2-1), the LEDs indicate the charge
level.
- The battery pack is almost flat and must be recharged if
one LED is flashing.
Capacity and signal indicator:
The capacity and signal indicator (B2-2) displays the
charge status of the battery pack for approx. 2 seconds
when the button (B2-1) is pressed:
Recommendation: Charge the battery pack
before any further use.
Note: 100% CAS compatible.
The supplied battery packs are compatible with
other Cordless Alliance System (CAS) tools. Find out
more on the website www.cordless-alliance-system.com.
Removing and inserting the battery pack:
To remove: See page 5, figure B7
Press the battery pack release button (B2-3) and pull the
battery pack (B1-3) downwards and out.
To insert: See page 5, figure B6
Slide the battery pack (B1-3) in until it engages.
