7. Holding the valve body assembly in a vise, use a 22mm (7/8
inch) socket (pn 769354) and 3/8" flex handle drive (pn 9-44363) to
remove the valve plug (46) from the body (55).
8. Remove the o-ring (47) from the valve plug (46) using the ap-
propriate o-ring tool (pn 944022). Discard o-ring.
9. Unscrew the valve seat (52) from the body (55) using the spin-
dle (50) and oldham (51). Remove the oldham (51) and valve seat
(52), discard the valve seat.
10. Using your fingers, remove the washer (48) from the spindle (50).
Take the brass o-ring tool (pn 944022) and remove the o-ring (49)
from the groove in the spindle (50). Discard the o-ring and washer.
note: If the washer (48) does not come out on the spin-
dle (50), check for it inside the valve plug (46).

Before starting assembly, perform parts clean-
ing and lubrication in accordance with Proce-
dure A: Cleaning and Lubricating in the back
of the manual.
