To select a preset sound
On the recorder
1 Press MENU, press . or >
repeatedly until "SOUND" flashes in
the display, and then press ENTER.
2 Press . or > repeatedly until
"SOUND 1" or "SOUND 2" flashes in
the display, and then press ENTER.
On the remote control
1 Press SOUND repeatedly to select
"SOUND 1" or "SOUND 2" appears in
the display.

Adjusting the sound quality

You can change the preset sound quality.
To change the preset sound quality, select
"SOUND 1" or "SOUND 2", the one you
want to change, in advance.
On the recorder

While playing and "SOUND 1" or
"SOUND 2" has been selected, press
MENU.

Press . or > repeatedly until
"SOUND SET" flashes in the display,
and then press ENTER.
The display shows the currently
selected "B" (bass) sound setting.

Press . or > repeatedly to
adjust the sound level.
Pressing . or > moves the
cursor left to right.
The cursor moves. (Position: +2)

The sound can be adjusted in 8 steps
(–4, –3, ...±0, ...+2, +3).

Press ENTER.
"B" (bass) is set and the display
changes to "T" (treble) setting mode.

Press . or > repeatedly to
adjust the sound level, and then press
ENTER.
"T" (treble) is set.
The sound settings are saved and the
playback display appears again.
On the remote control

Press SOUND repeatedly to select
"SOUND 1" or "SOUND 2".

During playback, press SOUND for 2
seconds or more.
The recorder changes to B (bass)
setting mode. Pressing the SOUND
button for 2 seconds again changes
the recorder back to T (treble) setting
mode.
When you select bass-setting mode,
"B" appears. When you select treble-
setting mode, "T" appears.
