Editing tracks in the HDD

Obtaining title information

The database in this unit contains a certain amount of CD information provided by the Gracenote® Music
Recognition Service. This allows you to search for titles and add them to albums or tracks whenever a CD
is loaded. If a particular title cannot be found, you can try to obtain it by updating the database using the
"Title Updater" software pre-installed in this unit. To use the "Title Updater" software, use the USB storage
device. For details on the compatible USB storage device, refer to the customer support site (page 78).
Notes
 A "WALKMAN" cannot be used for the "Title Updater" software. Use a USB storage device.
 Be sure to close Virtual Expander (MICROVAULT software) before using "Title Updater" with MICROVAULT (page
78).
About the "Title Updater" software
"Title Updater" is a pre-installed software that allows you to search the Web for title information not
contained in the unit's database. Information such as album names, artist names, and track titles is
provided by the Gracenote® Music Recognition Service.
To obtain the latest title information
1
Export the untitled data to a USB storage device.
 See "Exporting album information to a USB storage device" (page 47).

Obtain the latest information from the Web for the untitled data in the USB storage
device.
 See "Searching for title information on the computer" (page 48).

Import the album information to the unit.
 See "Importing the latest title information to the unit" (page 50).
