Automatic dialling

Sending a document using one-touch speed
dialling, coded speed dialling or group dialling
numbers ___________________________________
To use this feature you must first register numbers for one-touch speed dialling (see pp. 2-12, 2-13), coded
speed dialling (see p. 2-14) or group dialling (see pp. 2-15 to 2-17).
Follow the procedure below to send a document using a one-touch speed dialling, coded speed dialling or
group dialling number.

Load the document face down into the Automatic
Document Feeder (ADF).
See Loading documents, p. 3-3.
You can set the scanning resolution and the contrast.
(see p. 6-2)

Press the one-touch speed dialling button under
which the number you wish to fax is re-gistered.
-or-
Press [Coded Dial] and enter the appropriate two-
digit coded speed dialling code.
The registered number appears.
• If a group is already registered under a one-touch speed
dialling button or coded speed dialling code,
TEL=GROUP DIAL appears.
• If no number is registered for the one-touch speed dialling
button or coded speed dialling code you pressed, the LCD
shows NO DATA. Make sure you pressed the correct
button or entered the correct code and that the number
you want to dial is registered correctly.
• If you make a mistake, press [Stop]. Then press the
correct one-touch speed dialling button or press [Coded
Dial] and re-enter the code.
• If an error message appears on the LCD, correct the error
and press [Stop]. If necessary, see Faxing problems, p. 9-
12 and LCD Messages, p. 9-18.
