    1. Safety Precautions When moving or laying down a LCD Set, at least two people must work together. Avoid any impact towards the LCD Set. Do not leave a broken LCD Set on for a long time. To prevent any further damages, after checking the condition of the broken Set, make sure to turn the power (AC) off.

  • Page 63 Connect RS232 upgrade JIG to serial port. (If needed use extention RS232 cable.) c). Turn On computer. 3. Software installation. a). DAEWOO GProbe folder include three files: - CGProbe Redistributable 5.7.0.1.exe, - Readme.txt, - setup.exe. Before install DAEWOO_GProbe application please install first Microsoft .NET Framework and then next CGProbe Redistributable 5.7.0.1 (file: CGProbe Redistributable 5.7.0.1.exe).

    Software Install & Upgrade 4. Software configuration. a). Start application DAEWOO GProbe After start application you need to set Port, Speed, AppsTest (depends on PCB state), Flash image, Flash driver or if you switch on Batch file mode then you need to choose Batch file.
  • Page 65 Software Install & Upgrade d). AppsTest This setting depends on PCB state. When you want to program PCB without sofware, then this option should be OFF (not mark). In case of upgrade software to newer version you need to switch AppsTest option ON. If this option is not corect you will have problem with pro- gramming IC.
  • Page 66 Software Install & Upgrade 5. Chassis SL-150 programming procedure for Genesis IC - PCB part. If you adjust correctly application settings then you need to prepare PCB for programming. Photo below shows normal state of PCB (model 20”). The most important point which can be use for pro- gramming you can find as a marked point from 1 to 4.

If programming procedure successfully finish then the colour of text window will change to green. As a summary you will see writing time and text „PROGRAMMING SUCCESSFULLY!!! „.

  • Page 70 8. Remarks. During programming sometimes errors can happend. You will see that when text window in DAEWOO GProbe application change colour to red. There will be also text information where problem appears. Below you can see two examples of errors which can appear during programming procedure.

Computer with serial port or USB to RS232 converter. c). RS232 upgrade JIG. 2. Hardware. Before start! Please check if your computer has serial port, if not please install converter USB to RS232 a).

If you adjust correctly application settings then you need to prepare PCB for programming. Photo below shows normal state of PCB (model 20”). The most important point, which can be use for programming, you can find as a marked point from 1 to 3.

Press „Connection” button on ‚”Serial download server” application. It should appears window “Waiting for STB connection”. Now you need to press jumper SW2 on PCB (PCB photo 3, point 1).
