A battery charger will limit the voltage
between 14.0-14.7 Volts when charging.
The battery cannot be fully charged if
the charging voltage is less than 14.0
Volts. The battery can be damaged if
the charging voltage above 14.7 Volts.

Battery Maintenance
The lithium-ion battery is a sealed
battery.
To help maintain the lithium-ion battery,
do the following:
▼ Disconnect the battery cables, -
negative (black lead) first, if the
motorcycle is in storage or used
infrequently.

time, check the voltage. If it is lower
than 12.4 Volts, recharge the battery
as described on page 163.
▼ Clean the battery using a clean, dry
cloth.

Battery Storage
To store a lithium-ion battery correctly,
do the following:
