Connecting headphones
Be sure to turn down the volume before connecting or
putting on the headphones.
Connecting the headphones deactivates the

speakers.
NOTE
No sound is heard from headphones in the following
situations;
- when iPod is connected to the dock for iPod and
"iPod" is selected as the source
- when iPod is connected to the [USB] connector and
"USB" is selected as the source

Connecting the AC power cord
CAUTION
Only use the AC power cord provided for this

System to avoid malfunction or damage to the
System.
Remove all the batteries when using the AC power

cord.
Be sure to unplug the AC power cord from the outlet

when going out or when the System is not in use for
an extended period of time.
NOTE
The power can also be supplied through the

batteries (p. 5).
When the System is turned off using the [STANDBY/

ON A] button, the STANDBY/TIMER LED lights in
red. The LED goes off when the system is turned on.
A small amount of power is always consumed even

while on standby.
