4. Replace the time-of-day battery. The orientation of the + of the battery is up.
5. If you moved a PCIe adapter to access the battery, replace the adapter. For instructions, see
"Replacing a PCIe adapter in the 8001-12C or 8005-12N system" on page 36.

Prepare the system for operation. For instructions, see "Preparing the 8001-12C or 8005-12N system for
operation after you remove and replace internal parts" on page 72.
You need to set the system's time after replacing the battery. You can set the time after the system is
running by logging into the web GUI.
