6 OPERATION

TO FIT THE CUTTING UNITS TO THE MACHINE ____________________________
Cutting Unit Mounting Magna 250 and Meteor
Front and wing units
1.
With the lift arms (A) in the lower position align cutting unit
mounting bracket (B) with shaft fitted with spacer (C).
2.
Fit spacer (D) and locking collar (E) to shaft, fasten with screw
and washer (F).
Centre unit
1.
Remove the clamp plate and the shaft from the lift arm.
2.
Slide the shaft through mounting bracket on the cutting unit top deck fitting spacer (D) and locking collar
(E) to shaft, fasten with screw and washer (F).
3.
Align the cutting unit with shaft fitted with the lift arm.

Re-fit the clamp plate holding the shaft to the lift arm.
Cutting Unit Mounting Sport 200
Front and wing units
1.
With the lift arms (A) in the lower position align cutting unit
mounting bracket (B) with shaft fitted with spacers (C and D)
2.
Fit locking collar (E) to shaft, fasten with screw and washer (F)
Centre unit
1.
Remove the clamp plate and the shaft from the lift arm.
2.
Slide shaft through mounting bracket fitting locking collar (E) to shaft, fasten with screw and washer (F).
3.
Align the cutting unit with shaft fitted with the lift arm.
4
Re-fit the clamp plate holding the shaft to the lift arm.
Fitting the hydraulic motor
1.
It is important not to contaminate the motor shaft or internal splines of the cutting cylinder. If for any
reason they are contaminated, they must be cleaned by degreasing. Liberally lubricate the motor and
cylinder splines with Shell Malleus B1 grease (Part no. MBE3927) before assembling.
2.
Connect hydraulic motor to cutting unit bearing housing. Secure with hardware provided.
