6. Photography Auxiliary Functions

6.6 Using the External Monitor

The image on the observation monitor can be viewed on an external monitor. Please ask your Canon
representative or distributor about which external monitors can be used.

Before connecting or disconnecting the cable, turn off the power for the retinal camera.

Connect the supplied video cable to the digital camera.
Connect the video cable to the VIDEO OUT terminal
on the digital camera.
Firmly insert the cable up to the plug base.

Put the cable into the grooves in the camera cover.
Fit the core of the video cable into the space in the
cover.
Be careful not to damage the cable while putting it into
the groove.

Attach the camera cover.
Place the camera cover hook onto the strap mount of
the digital camera. Fit the cover screw into the threaded
socket for the tripod on the bottom of the camera while
taking care that the cable is not pinched, and secure the

camera cover.
