Self-test mode :

After installing the batteries, the tester will be in self-test mode automatically.
This function is used to make sure all indicators are operating properly. To do this,
bring the 2 plungers into contact and the LEDs will flash down from 12 to 400V.
The device can measure AC and DC voltage without batteries, but it will no longer
feature the self-test function.

Connect the test plungers
to the socket and read the
value indicated next to the
last LED light on (top-down
reading).
Connect the test plungers
to the battery terminals and
read the value indicated
next to the last LED light
on (top-down reading).
Connect the main test
plunger to one of the 2
battery terminals and the
other plunger to the other
terminal; if the "+" indicator
lights up, the main plunger
is on the "+" terminal; if the
"-" indicator lights up, the
main test plunger is on the
"-" terminal.
