2.5 Load the media

2.5.1 Loading procedures

Please identify if the media requires a ribbon. Only temperature sensitive
media do not require ribbons.
Caution: To prevent media jam, always align the media to the left side of the
printer.
If dark tracks do not come out by scratches on the media surface, the media is not temperature
sensitive and a ribbon is required.
1.
① Open the top cover.
② Push the blue Release Lever to release the
head module.
③ Lift the Sensor Arm.
④ With the printing surface facing up, clam the
media roll between the Media Holder and the
Media Width Adjuster.
⑤ Load the clammed roll into the media
compartment.
2.
① Route the media underneath the Damper.
② Move the Right Media Guide to fit the media
width.
③ Return the Sensor Arm to its original position.
Important: The printing surface
faces upward.
