1 ABOUT YOUR GAUGE
This Thermo-Hygrograph records the temperature of air and its relative humidity and is a portable laboratory
instrument using the hair hygrometer principle.
1.1 GAUGE FEATURES
•
The thermograph sensor is U-shaped bimetal which quickly deflects according to changes in air
temperature.
•
The hydrograph sensor is a length of human hair or synthetic fibre which changes in length according
to the moisture in the air.
•
The hair is specially treated to respond quickly even at low temperatures. This makes it useful for
outdoor measurements. For indoors and store rooms the fibre is recommended because it needs less
maintenance and is less sensitive to contamination.
•
The sensors are protected against mechanical damage. All axles are in jewel bearings for low friction
and other parts have a high resistance to corrosion.
