8.2

PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION

The Top Level Assembly and each major Subassembly are identified by a Product
Code Label, which displays Model Number, Serial Number, and Date Code.
8.2.1

Model Number

The Model Number is the catalog number assigned by Siemens to the product. The
Model Number should be used to order the product, as well as in any phone calls
or other correspondence with Siemens. The Model Number will quickly identify the
product and facilitate prompt service.

8.2.2 Serial Number

The Serial Number is a unique number assigned to each individual unit
manufactured. This number is used by Siemens to track products after they are
manufactured and shipped. For example, repair records of units sent to the factory
are recorded by serial number to track repairs, upgrades, and warranty for
individual units.

8.2.3 Date Code

The Date Code is a three digit alphanumeric code that records the month and year
the product was manufactured.

PART IDENTIFICATION
