Maintenance of minimum temperature of water in tub
and anti-freeze protection of the pipes ("Smart Winter").
At regular intervals, the system reads the actual temperature.
If it is below the minimum admissible value (15 °C - 59 °F), the
heater and the filtering pump are automatically activated until the
temperature rises above that value.
"Smart Winter" lets you make use of a special probe to moni-
tor the temperature of the compartment under the tub, which con-
tains the all of the pipes of the plumbing circuit. In extreme con-
ditions, the system may turn on this anti-freeze protection (indi-
cated on the display by the message ICE). The pumps will be
turned on according to the following configurations:
• With limitation of electrical consumption
The pump is turned on at high speed, and turns off after 1
minute. During this cycle the heater is turned off but will be re-
activated later.
• Without limitation of electrical consumption
The operating mode remains the same, except for the heater,
which remains operative.
The pumps are turned on at preset intervals, depending on the
temperature:
- temperature between 12 and 15 ° C (54 - 59 °F):
Every 2 hours
- temperature between 9 and 12 ° C (48 - 54 °F):
every hour
- temperature between 6 and 9 ° C (42 - 48 °F):
every 30 minutes
- temperatures at or below 6 ° C (42 °F):
every 15 minutes
NOTES
- If the temperature of the compartment drops rapidly, the fre-
quency of activation increases.
- If it becomes necessary to turn on the anti-freeze protection
during the filtering or rapid filtering ("Boost") cycles, those cy-
cles will be suspended and they will resume when the anti-
freeze cycle is complete.
- If it is necessary to perform an anti-freeze cycle while a func-
tion activated by the user is in progress, the cycle will be ac-
tivated 15 minutes after the end of the function.
- If this protection is active, the spotlight may still be turned
on.

WATER FILTERING
The water needs to be filtered to keep it clean, clear and
inviting. The pump runs the water through a cartridge filter
i
in the skimmer
7 (two in Kios Friendly, see the chap-
ter on "Maintenance of cartridge filter"). This operation
takes place based on a cycle during the day (filtering cy-
cle) which repeats every 24 hours.
MaxiJacuzzi is also equipped with a special kind of filtering
("Boost"). This is instantaneous filtering, which differs from the
normal cycle due to its brief, intense duration.
NOTE: the pump has two speeds: a low one used to
circulate and filter the water, and a higher speed to ac-
tivate the hydromassage jets.
If "Performance", the optional external filtering group
(spa-pak), is connected to the spa's electronic control
box, its pump will work at the same time as the spa's
pump, but only when the spa's pump is operating at
low speed. It is activated using the control panel, dur-
ing a filtering cycle, or when the water temperature is
measured.
NOTE: some MaxiJacuzzis are equipped with an o-
zone generator (optional) which helps disin-
fect and purify the water. When the filtering
cycle is started, the generator starts automat-
ically, and shuts off at the end of the cycle.
General Information
The filtration cycle has two phases:
• Start
The pump is activated for 1 minute at high speed.
• Continuation
The pump shifts into low speed and the ozonator is also activated
(if present) for the remaining time in the cycle.
Setting the filtering cycles
To set the filtering cycle:
Press the "Light"
onds. The display will show the message dx, where "x" indicates
the duration in hours.
Use the "Up"
and/or "Down"
sired duration, from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 12 hours.
Press the "Light"
lected value and to continue the programming of the start de-
lay, compared to time "0", of the cycle (parameter sy, where "y"
indicates the number of hours).
CAUTION: the "0" time is the instant in which the spa is pow-
ered using the main switch. If, for example, the cycle start de-
lay is set to "4", this means that filtration will start 4 hours af-
ter the spa is turned on.
