26. MICRO-LIFTING MECHANISM OF THE PRESSER FOOT

WARNING :
Turn OFF the power before starting the work so as to prevent accidents caused by abrupt start of the sewing machine.
When sewing velvet or the like which is fluffy, slippage of material or damage of material is reduced by using screw 1 for presser foot mcro-lftng. Lower the
presser foot and set the state that the feed dog s lower than the throat plate.
Gradually tghten screw 1 for presser foot mcro-lftng n the state that nut 2 is loosened, finely adjust the position of the presser foot until it matches the
material, and fix it with nut 2 .
(Caution) When the presser foot micro-lifting mechanism is not used, adjust the height of screw 1 so that it is higher by approximately 9 mm than
the sewing machine. If the sewing machine is operated in the state that the micro-lifting mechanism is working, sufficient feed force cannot be
obtained.

devce (separately avalable) whch can be adjusted wthout usng tools.

27. SEWING CONDENSED STITCHES

WARNING :

It s possble to change the sttch length of the normal feed ptch by operatng swtch 1 or reverse feed control lever 2 durng sewng.
) Tilt the machine head, and loosen three fixing screws 4 of the reverse feed solenod 3 .
2) Slde reverse feed solenod 3 n the drecton of the arrow to adjust so that the center of screw 4 s algned wth engraved marker lne 5 representng the
condensation stitch length. Then fix the solenoid with setscrews 4 .
3) To return the sttch length back to the ntal settng (to reset), slde reverse feed solenod 3 n the drecton of arrow A untl t comes n contact wth the end
face of slt n bed strut B 6 . Then, fix the solenoid at that position with setscrews 4 .
