To remove the insert: push insert = to
X
the left ?.
Ashtray insert = slides out slightly to the
right.
Lift insert = up ; and out.

To refit the insert: place insert = into the
X
holder and press it down on the right until
it engages.
Ashtray in the rear-compartment centre
console
! Close the ashtray when it is not in use and
before you fold the rear seats forward. You
can otherwise damage the ashtray.
Vehicles without a Rear Seat Entertainment
System have an ashtray in the centre console
in the rear compartment.
To open: briefly press cover ; at the top.

The ashtray opens.
To remove the insert: push into recess
X
= from the right.
Ashtray insert : slides out slightly to the
right.
Lift insert : up and out.

To refit the insert: place insert : into the
X
holder and press it down on the right until
it engages.
Cigarette lighter

WARNING
Only hold the hot cigarette lighter by its knob.
Otherwise, you might burn yourself.
Make sure that children travelling in the vehi-
cle are not able to injure themselves on the
hot cigarette lighter or cause a fire with it.
! The cigarette lighter in the centre console
in the front compartment is not intended
for operating the tyre inflation compressor.
Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition
X
lock.
To open: slide cover : to its foremost
X
position.
Press in cigarette lighter ;.
X
Cigarette lighter ; will pop out automati-
cally when the heating element is red-hot.
To close: pull cover : back as far as it will
X
go.
12 V sockets
Points to observe before use
With the exception of the socket in the front
centre console, all sockets can be used for
accessories with a maximum current draw of
240 W (20 A), e.g. lamps or chargers for
mobile phones.
The socket in the front centre console can be
used for accessories with a maximum current
draw of 180 W (15 A), e.g. lamps or chargers
for mobile phones.
