! The backrest is heavy. Therefore, exer-
cise care when folding it down. Make sure
that the head restraints are pushed all the
way in so that the backrests and seat cush-
ions are not damaged.
Fold the backrest forwards until it reaches

the luggage compartment position.
Guide seat belts ; under respective

Fold seat backrest ; back until it engages.

Swing seat cushion : back.

Pull up and adjust the head restraints if

necessary (

Make sure that the seat backrest and the seat
cushion are correctly engaged in position.

Securing a load
Lashing eyelets

WARNING
Distribute the load on the lashing eyelets
evenly.
Otherwise, vehicle occupants could be
injured by objects being thrown around if you:
brake sharply
R
change direction suddenly
R
are involved in an accident
R
Please observe the loading guidelines.
Observe the following notes on securing
loads:
secure the load using the lashing eyelets.
R
do not use elastic straps or nets to secure
R
a load, as these are only intended as an
anti-slip protection for light loads.
do not route lashing materials across sharp
R
edges or corners.
pad sharp edges for protection.
R
There are four lashing eyelets in the luggage
compartment. Before using the lashing eye-
lets on the front right-hand side of the luggage
compartment, the luggage net must be
pushed down.

Only hang light loads on the bag holders. Do
not use them to transport heavy, sharp-edged
