Playing CD s
Playing CDs:
A press of the release button causes the faceplate to drop to
the front, thereby exposing the CD slot.
Holding the CD w ith the labeled side facing up, insert it in the
slot.
The CD w ill start playing. Push back on the right side of
the faceplate w ith your hand until it locks.

The
indicator w ill light w hen a CD has been inserted.
2CA U TION
When inserting a CD, make sure the CD has been completely
draw n in before pushing back the faceplate. Failing to do so
might scratch the CD.
Playing CDs Already Inserted:
Press the SRC button repeatedly until the CD mode is
obtained.
"CD" is displayed w hen the CD mode has been selected.
The CD w ill start playing.
Pausing and Restarting CD Play:
Press the

button to make the disc pause.
Press the same button again to start play again.
Eject:
Press the release button and drop
open the faceplate.
Press the 0 button located near
the CD slot.
The CD stops playing and ejects
from the slot.
Push back on the right side of the
faceplate w ith your hand until it
locks.
2CA U TION
• Do not attempt to insert a CD into the slot if another one is
already there.
• The unit can only play 12-cm (5-inch) CDs. If you insert an 8-cm
(3-inch) CD, it w ill get stuck inside and can cause the unit to
malfunction.
When the faceplate has been dropped open, it might interfere
w ith the shift lever or something else. If this happens, pay

appropriate action, then operate the unit.
• Do not apply excessive force to the open faceplate or place
objects on it. Doing so w ill cause damage or breakdow n.
• Do not use the unit w ith the faceplate in the open condition.

N OTE
When you load a CD and eject it right aw ay, the next time you try
to insert the CD may not load. In such a situation, take the CD
out for a moment and then reinsert it.
